Review of Community Music - Asian Dub Foundation by radarmaker taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Large amounts of ROCK!, good fusion of style
Disadvantages May ROCK! too much for some...

...First, forget about the title, and all its liberal connotations. Just because ADF were formed in a ‘community workshop’ doesn’t mean their music is ‘tame,’ ‘soft,’ or even remotely ‘nice,’ Basically, Asian Dub Foundation are very angry people, which is fair enough considering the ills of the world. They illustrate their anger by making LOUD! Music. It’s difficult to describe effectively, but it’s a sort of fusion of Eastern musical forms and straight-ahead ROCK! And, let’s face it, if it didn’t ROCK! there wouldn’t be any point. This album basically preaches from beginning to end, but when the medium is as forceful as this, the message hits home.... Review of United Colors Of Blaggers ITA - Blaggers ITA by Ryan-Simpson taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Played with real anger !
Disadvantages sometimes too eclectic

...An exclectic nuch, the Blaggers ITA incorporate rock, punk, samples , rap and hot political opinions to for a fiery brand of music. Featuring samples from some well known tunes, as well as from well known political figues lents an anarachaic feel to the procedings, but it is purly intended ! Songs such as 'Here's Johnny' have a genuine anger to them, and although the political message it contains may be somewhat out o date, the tunes themselves certainly still stand up today. A step ahead of many of their peers, the closest comparison would probably be Asian Dub Foundation with live drums, and even this is slightly off the mark. Angry, political and excellant !...
