Army of Two for PS3

Advantages: co op is great
Disadvantages: need another person for full experience

It is mainly based on co-op so be prepared to get slightly bored after playing it by yourself all the time. Alas, a game up my street, I was given this game for my birthday and from the front cover I was a bit iffy about it all, then when I ripped open the protective plastic coving it and popped the disc into the PS3 and fired up the game I realised how good it all looked. Ive played this game along with my brother and it is indeed a very challenging game. The experience is definitely better when you have more than the one person playing. The graphics are very authentic and hard hitting

Advantages great Co-operative game to play with a friend
Disadvantages Single player is not so great

...chaps who used to be in the army, then went and became mercenaries. Betrayal and minor plot twists take place. Its not the best story ever written, but its a damn good co-op game. Theres a single player, Split screen co-op. Online versus mode, where you can go with your mate and take on both real players and bots. Theres also various other modes. There's other nice touches too. You can congratulate each other, when close by. The two characters will slap hands, pat each other on the back or jam out on air guitars. Alternatively you can nut each other and take out your rage. Its quite funny. We did it sometimes by accident. Just trying to open doors. ...Army of Two....Days Gameplay Army of Two gives the buyer a compelling co-operative experience, and at first look(back cover look) seems like a very solid game. It incorporates plenty of tactics and co-op brawn and the graphics looks clean. However any next gen 3rd person shooter should have these things so it doesn't really stand out from the rest. There are only six missions which is one of the BIGGEST letdown, hence the two days gameplay pun........ The only incentive to play any further after completing the story is to unlock new, more powerful better looking weapons. However, one soon gets the feeling that doing it again would be more trouble than its worth. The multiplayer was a nice try, but online freezes up alot and is very unreliable. Advantages Good split screen fun.
Disadvantages Poor online, poor storyline.

...Don't get me wrong, Army of Two has it's moments but it's just not a great game. This was for a while one of PlayStation 3's great hypes and unfortunately, it just didn't deliver. We have a water weak story line about power and corruption seen from the perspective of two guys that we really don't care to much about. Put it this way, if this was a teen slasher, these lads would be the first to get the chop. The system of using the two characters works ok, but i felt that my AI controlled assistant was pretty much there to take the heat off of me whenever i got into hot water. He'd run off at times leaving me with a shower of bullets and nothing but disgruntlement at his shortcomings.
