Review of The Fury Of The Aquabats - Aqua by
ScoSco
taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Great upbeat enjoyable ska-punk
Disadvantages You wont want this album to end!
...with the aquabats is to NOT take them seriously. They're main aim is to entertain not to be taken seriously, its all about having fun! But then dressed up in lycra of all differnt colours (depending on the ablum) and masks and helments made out of rubber it is really hard to take them seriously!
For me the most memorable tracks on this ablum would have to be:
- Magic Chicken - Really nice trumpet riffs and lovely fast guitar.. singing about chicken?
- Story of nothing - About feeling invisible or soemthing. Has a catchy tune and choruses memorable.
- Idiot box - One of the fastest songs on the album... really fast singing, fast ska guitar rythemes. About watching to much tv.
- My skateboard - Slower more jazzy-ska feel. Singing about wanting to be with a girl but being stuck at home with his skateboard.
- Playdough - sees out this ablum well...

Review of Enema Of The State [ECD] [PA] - Blink 182 by
pwbit
taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Melodic, Fun, Beautiful Harmonies, and everything else.
Disadvantages Scott is no longer in the band :(
...I've been a blink182 fan since 1997 and this being their third proper album, ignore kerrang they don't really know what they are talking about, they said travis was formely drummer of the vandals, its actually the aquabats, anyways, Poppy, "Punky", Beautiful melodies and Harmonies and above all fun. Even touching on some serious issues here with songs like Adam's Song addressing suicide and what not. Personally I prefer their earlier albums, with 1997's Dude Ranch being my all time favourite, I defiently recommend you go out and find it if you like this album, it may be slightly faster, but its defiently still fun melodic pop-punk at its best. Blink182 are not one-hit wonders and above all they aren't new, they've just become very big :) And where the comparisons with green day come in I will never know, the people who say that have...

Review of Mark Tom And Travis Show - The Enema Strikes Back [PA] - Blink 182 by
jamesm182
taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Good upbeat live songs, loads of tracks
Disadvantages too explicit to play infront of young children etc
...blink-182 are a Californian based popular punk rock band and are one of my favourites. Their music has a good feel to it and all of the tracks are usually fast paced and have some incredibly funny lyrics. They are well known for their catchy melodies and hilarious toilet humour, which is particularly evident on this album.
The members of blink-182 are Tom Delonge (guitar, vocals), Mark Hoppus (bass, vocals) and Travis Barker (drums), hence the name of this album. Mark and Tom have been in the band since it started back in 1992, however, Travis was a more recent edition and was drafted in from a support band, 'The Aquabats' back in 1998, in the middle of the 'Dude Ranch' tour. Blink were forced to look for a new drummer, as their previous drummer, Scott Raynor went missing and became an alcoholic. They give him a choice, stop...
