I am a great music lover and I can't imagine myself not listening to music for a day. I had this iPod an year ago before it got drenched in water and got damaged. But I must say that I had a good(not great) time listening music with that iPod.
I bought it when it first arrived out in the markrt and I bought it for Christmas, 2006. Apple iPods were rage at that time, so are now. What I liked about it at that time is it's size and design. It was a beautiful lavender color piece very small in size compared to the music players available at that time. Added to this, the 2GB size memory was a GRAND at that time. Since I love listening to music, it was a delight having it at that time.
Features
The best feature for me about this player is the option of 'shuffle' which is relatively new at that time. I really like this option. I love to load as many songs as possible on to the music player and love to listen to them liesurely. In such case it would be more enjoyable if different songs from different albums can be listened to everytime. It would be a bit tiring to listen to all songs of an album and then going to the next album and so on. This, for me, is a great innovation in the field of music players.
Since I am writing about the description and what I liked about it, I should write my views when I first used it almost a couple of years ago. As I said earlier, the size is small which is really a good feature as it can just be put in the pocket of the pants or jacket and we can go around freely listening to music. It has a sleek design too which attracted me just at the first sight itself.
The basic operations like play/pause, next track, previous track, start/stop etc., can be peformed with the help of buttons arranged in the form of a wheel. Volume can be adjusted with these buttons. Though tese buttons appeared good at first, after some months of use they started giving me tough time and I had to press them hard to operate.
Ear phones that came with this iPod are perfect and I was really surprised at first with their efficience. The sound effect is superb with a single disturbance and the the audio could be heard in crystal clear quality.
Battery is the main relief in this iPod. After trying some music players which need a constant change of batteries, I found the battery system in the iPods innovative and relaxing. They don't need separate batteries and the internal battery gets charged when the iPod is connected to USB port of computer. It is a good option as we connect it to computer while transferring the songs and it gets charged in the mean time.
Conclusion
It is a good music player but has it's share of bad features to it's credit. As I said, the buttons stop working after using it for some days. But it is the only one at that time which gave a very good quality sound with no disturbances. The battery and the size and shape made it one of the most used music players. But the time has changed now and many models are popping out in the market on every other day. I will definitely tell anyone to go for a latest model.
