Only 0.26 of an inch thin and 1.41 ounces light, iPod nano packs a lot into its diminutive design. A brighter color display. A dock connector that fits an entire ecosystem of iPod... more...accessories. With features like these, iPod nano changes the way you experience your music and more. Finding and playing music on iPod nano is simple. Menu options let you browse by artist, composer, album, song, genre, or playlist. Want to mix things up? Click Shuffle Songs. iPod nano makes your music look as good as it sounds, thanks to a 1.5-inch color display. Album art appears alongside your song titles, so you see your music as you play it. And when you dare to wear iPod nano, that display guarantees you'll say a lot without saying a word. The iTunes Store features thousands of free podcasts - radio-type shows you subscribe to - including indie favorites and offerings from such big names as ABC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, PBS, NPR, and many more. Browse and subscribe to podcasts, then sync them to your iPod nano and listen anytime, anywhere. Podcasts appear in their own menu on your iPod nano, so you can navigate them easily. The digital shelves of the iTunes Store are stocked with thousands of audiobooks - including such exclusives as the entire Harry Potter series - so you can catch up on your reading wherever iPod nano takes you. Browse audiobooks in their own menu on your iPod nano. iPod nano automatically recognizes where you left off reading and bookmarks your place. You can even change the reading speed to suit you. iPod nano holds up to 25, 000 photos you can sync from your Mac or Windows PC via iTunes. Use the Click Wheel to scroll through photo thumbnails the same way you scroll through song titles. To see a photo full-screen, click the center button. You can even view photo slideshows, complete with music. Just select Slideshow Settings and choose the time between slides, the transition effect, and the music. Calendars, contacts, and the World Clock appear in the Extras menu, along with a few more handy items. Take the Screen Lock, for example. Spin the Click Wheel to choose a four-digit combination and protect your iPod nano from prying eyes. If you forget your combination, you can reset it at your next sync. Or use the built-in Stopwatch to log your best times. When it's finally time to play, iPod nano features four fun games: Music Quiz, Solitaire, Brick, and Parachute.

Full review
I have had my IPod Nano for almost ½ years now and in that period it has played an huge amount of songs in every part of the World. I got my IPod Nano when I turned 17 and when I bought it the price was roughly about 140 Euros for the 2GB which is around 112 pounds. The IPod Nano is probably one of the best music players on the market today due to its great looks, excellent sound and display quality and that is one of the reasons why I bought the Nano. The battery life is roughly 6 to 7 hours depending on how frequently you use it. Mine normally last for a week, I mostly use it on the school bus and when I'm studying, so not that frequently.

~~Design~~
~~~~~~~~~~
The design of the Nano is excellent. It isn't to thick so it feels like a great big lump in your pocket and it's not to thin so it just falls out. These aspect are very for me as I am a frequent user when I travel. It has a 1 ½ inch screen which is pretty big. Below we have its touch pad with several buttons which will operate the whole IPod. The IPod Nano feels good in your pockets due to its round sides so when your driving your bike or car it is not in the way. On top of the Nano we have the slide button what will lock and unlock the IPod. The Nano is available in 6 colours, Grey, Olive Green, Blue, Black, Pink, and Special Edition Red which was only available for a short period of time. When you bought your IPod form the official Apple side you could get your IPod engraved, this gave it a personal touch.
~~Installation~~
~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~

As I never had a IPod before in my life it was quit hard to get the IPod installed and to get all my music on it. Especially to the fact that the instructions where in Spanish made it a real challenge. By asking friends I new I had to download ITunes. Firstly enter the wire that connect your IPod to the computer and then just wait as ITunes will load automatically. Ones ITunes is installed, all your songs are automatically added to your IPod. This could take some time depending on the fact, if your songs need to be converted or not. I would recommend Limewire for you when you download songs as the songs do not need to be converted. Photos, films and anything else can easily be installed from ITunes. Movies can only be played as long as your Nano has more than 2GB. One small negative side about ITunes is that you need to install Quick time player to, this Quick time player will take over any of your music files and films, I don't like it when programs do this without asking.

~~The IPod~~
~~~~~~~~~~~
When you switch your IPod on it goes to the main menu. Here you can chose to go to your Music, Photos, Extras, Setting or just shuffle your songs. If you press Music you go to the next page where you can chose between Playlists, Artist, Albums, Songs, Genres, Composers or search, this function will allow you to find any song. This page is all about your songs and is probably the page where you will be spending most time at. The photo section will allow you to see all your photos you have added on to your IPod. You can chose which photo you want to watch and for how long you would like to see each photo. If you press the option that will lead to extras you will get a page which will host Clock, Games, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Stopwatch and Screen lock. The games that are available on the Nano are Brick, Music Quiz, Parachute and Solitaire (the hard version). If you back to the main menu the next option is the Setting. The Setting page hosts, About, Main Menu, Shuffle, Repeat, Volume Limit, Backlight timer, Audio books, EQ, Compilations, Sound Check, Clicker, Date & Time, Contacts, Language, Legal and Reset all Settings. The option Main Menu will give you a list of all things you can place in the main menu by either saying yes or no. If you place a volume limit on your IPod it will ask you to enter a password. The password could be anything with a combination of 4 numbers. Contact and Notes have to be entered on ITunes before they will turn up in your IPod. You cannot enter them on the scene as the Nano does not support a keyboard option.
~~~~~~~~
~~Price~~
~~~~~~~~
As you would have known by now the IPod is more expensive then other MP3 player on the market, although these are nowhere near any close to the technology they have placed in the Nano. Like I said I bought my Nano for roughly 112 pounds but the model is old now so it is cheaper. The new Nano however is available for the same price. You can buy the old 2GB Nano for 40 pounds depending on where you look. For the amount you pay for this amazing piece of machinery, you get a great amount of options and technology so it is a great value for money.
~~~~~~~~~~
~~Overall~~
~~~~~~~~~~
Overall a great product that I would highly recommend for any to use and to buy. It is a great family product which is easy to use for the whole family. You probably need 5 to 10 minutes to get use to the buttons but no real big problems. Sound quality is good as long as you download the good songs and if you buy good headphones. This is my next point, the headphones you get are form good quality however ones they are broken they are expensive to replace and different headphones which are expensive often don't have the quality they are suppose to have. I would give this product a 9 out 10 as it is just a amazing piece of equipment with great quality and very easy to use controls.
Nitrocides Top Tips:
The IPod Nano does freeze from time to time, not often but it does. Don't panic when this happens does press the middle and the menu button and the IPod will be switched off and automatically on. No music, photos and videos are lost in this process. Make sure that you don't leave your IPod in your jeans for a extreme long time in hot weather as the IPod gets really hot and could blow up and therefore leave nasty burns. This has happened to me yet but I red it several times in the newspaper. However these cases have happened in much warmer country. But just be warned.
