Only 0.26 of an inch thin and 1.41 ounces light, iPod nano packs a lot into its diminutive design. A brighter color display. A dock connector that fits an entire ecosystem of iPod... more...accessories. With features like these, iPod nano changes the way you experience your music and more. Finding and playing music on iPod nano is simple. Menu options let you browse by artist, composer, album, song, genre, or playlist. Want to mix things up? Click Shuffle Songs. iPod nano makes your music look as good as it sounds, thanks to a 1.5-inch color display. Album art appears alongside your song titles, so you see your music as you play it. And when you dare to wear iPod nano, that display guarantees you'll say a lot without saying a word. The iTunes Store features thousands of free podcasts - radio-type shows you subscribe to - including indie favorites and offerings from such big names as ABC News, Comedy Central, ESPN, PBS, NPR, and many more. Browse and subscribe to podcasts, then sync them to your iPod nano and listen anytime, anywhere. Podcasts appear in their own menu on your iPod nano, so you can navigate them easily. The digital shelves of the iTunes Store are stocked with thousands of audiobooks - including such exclusives as the entire Harry Potter series - so you can catch up on your reading wherever iPod nano takes you. Browse audiobooks in their own menu on your iPod nano. iPod nano automatically recognizes where you left off reading and bookmarks your place. You can even change the reading speed to suit you. iPod nano holds up to 25, 000 photos you can sync from your Mac or Windows PC via iTunes. Use the Click Wheel to scroll through photo thumbnails the same way you scroll through song titles. To see a photo full-screen, click the center button. You can even view photo slideshows, complete with music. Just select Slideshow Settings and choose the time between slides, the transition effect, and the music. Calendars, contacts, and the World Clock appear in the Extras menu, along with a few more handy items. Take the Screen Lock, for example. Spin the Click Wheel to choose a four-digit combination and protect your iPod nano from prying eyes. If you forget your combination, you can reset it at your next sync. Or use the built-in Stopwatch to log your best times. When it's finally time to play, iPod nano features four fun games: Music Quiz, Solitaire, Brick, and Parachute.

In a well-known west African language, Nano means Diva and from my point of view, there is no better word to describe this sweet, small Apple creation. Would you like to know why I have this opinion? Just read on so that you may understand me.

********Why a Nano?*********

A beautiful sunny morning in March 2007, I woke up to the sound of birds' singing with a unfavorable view of my fat body and its approximately 260 lbs .

Obviously the situation was the same as the days before, but that morning, I was feeling really sad and unlucky and decided to finally fight against the army of calories overtaking my body. Followed by the curious eyes of my girlfriend( she left me 2 weeks later), I put on my gym clothes, no longer fiitting for me, and picked up my old running shoes from the cellar and went out for a run. Five minutes later, I was already back at home. In addition to the fact that I was not really able to run longer than 5 minutes, I was also assured about an evident thing: I needed a nice exercise buddy.

**********The first Date**************

As I went to the Apple store, my decision was quite clear. I needed a light and useful companion, with a nice body, reliable and lots of enterntainment included . The store manager smiled with satisfaction as I told him what I was looking for. Whithout saying anything, he went to the cupboard and came back with a package and a bigger smile on his face. A few minutes later I left the store as the owner of an apple Ipod Nano 4 GB.

********The First Night**********

It was quite easy to check out the functionality of my Nano. After some minutes I had my music data already uploaded on the Ipod, created my play-lists and really liked how easy it was to manage the selections on the Ipod. Everything was done in 30 minutes.

The running application was especially helpful for me with the included Nike software that helps you to create your own training- program and control this with the Ipod .My first training session with the Ipod was completely successful. With the Ipod in hand, I ran longer than 30 minutes with the feeling that someone was helping me at each step. ***It was my Nano***.

***********The First Fight**********

To move around 260 pounds is not an easy business. You can imagine how much I transpirated while training. Unfortunately, this also meant that my Ipod got wet. Two weeks after I purchased it, as I was getting home from training, the Ipod switched off on his own. Everything I tried was without success. Of course I went on the Apple website, checked and tried all potential solutions but none were successful. I brought it back to the store and got a new one a week later.

***********The Last fight****************

A product that costs so much must first offer more functions. In addition, there are many cheaper MP3 players available today with many more functions than the Nano. The worst problem for me is the fact that since I have a new PC, it isn't able to recognize the connected Ipod because of a configuration problem between Windows Vista and the Ipod software. This means that I can charge my Ipod with my computer but I don't have access to change something on the Ipod or even upload new music. I will have to go to the store again in the next days and see if the manager will look at me again with a big smile on his face.

**************Conclusion********************

I'm still trying to figure out why the Ipod Nano is so expensive because the cost and performance do not relate from my point of view.

*********My advice*********: you should invest your money in cheaper and more resistant products. From my point of view, Apple is selling the brand with this product but not offering something the customer will like.
