The price is a slightly steep £243.99. This is a bit over the top and to be honest you are paying for the name Apple. If this wasn't a present and I was using my own money I would maybe have gone for a better value player. It is possible to get a 20GB MP3 player for as little as £169.99 (maybe less if you shop around) and for £249.99 you can pick up a 60GB player! Like you need 15000 songs!
The other thing your paying for is the limited edition factor and the U2 image, complete with all four signatures on the back. You can pick up the same player in plain yet stylish white for £207.99. This price is very strange as the new fourth generation iPod, this is what the specialeditioniPod is, is cheaper that the third generation...

Advantages Sleek looks and holds photos Disadvantages Does not hold videos
...I bought this iPod off ebay about half a year ago. I have found that this iPod is extremely good just like all the other iPods.
However this iPod is the best looking iPod ever! With the black and the red it looks absolutely stunning. This iPods seem to last for ages however because of its colour it does scratch quite easily but this does not do anything to the actual iPod it is just cosmetic and you can only see the scratches if you hold them in a special angle to the light.
It has all of the features of any other iPod. This is the photo version so do not be fooled into thinking it is. However the iPod still holds around 5000 songs or 20000 photos. It has a battery life of around 15 hours depending on what you do with it.
The iPod comes with many extra features such as an alarm clock, clock, a place ofr you to store contact...
