Advantages: Video quality, huge memory , battery life, cool games. Disadvantages: screen size bit small for viewing movies.
...I have had this product for the past 2 years and personally it has never given me a problem. Its organising system is very cool and efficient., you get to your choice of song very quickly. The best part is that with 20GB space you can store upto 3-4 movies at the same time , i mean i personally when going for a journey for more than 3 hours store a movie in it and view it while on the go., the video quality is good, and it also has a few fun games which can test your music knowledge about the songs on your ipod. It is sleek so fits into the pocket while exercising , and i have to say about apple earphones they are simply amazing in terms of quality and clarity of the sound. So basically it is a must own gadget and i believe it is a very wise decision to bank on it.
Battery Life-
the battery life for it is outstanding, i can assure you...

Advantages: great design, iTunes, massive storage Disadvantages: scratches too easily, quality of delivered earphones
...I'm having a strong, good and joyful relationship with my iPod20GB for over 2,5 years now... and it still seems to go on...
Even if there are more fancy and stylish versions of the iPod on the market these days, I still stick to my "old-fashioned" 4th generation one.
When I got my iPod, the stylish cube contained:
* 20GBiPod
* Earbud headphones
* AC adaptor
* FireWire cable
* USB 2.0 cable
* iTunes for Mac
* iTunes for Windows
* Instructions
Besides the always mentioned great Apple design, I would like to rate the following things:
1. Battery:
A most people complain about the iPod battery, I don't have any problems with it (as I'm ususally charging my iPod by connecting it to my PC so I can upload new files or listen to my music nevertheless). Only situation I got "in trouble" here was during a long vactation without adaptor.
