Advantages: basic function, easy to use. Disadvantages: none during its era.
This is the first Apple laptop I owned and during that time I don't really care about how huge the Memory space is or how fast the processor is, I don't even know if it mattered during that time. As long as it's working, easy to use, functional it's okay for me. iTunes weren't really that "in" so no apps necessary.
I only got it replaced last year when it broke down and the only chance of surviving it is for me to purchase a 49,000 pesos worth of ... ...problems.
This model of Apple laptops are more suitable for high school students who only need to work on their papers and research cos they memory wouldn't allow too much files like MP3's and video. There is also no built-in webcam (iSight), no Superdrive, you have to buy a separate airport card to be able to connect to the internet, etc. It is also kind of bulky for it's small size. So basically, this laptop is just for basic function use. ...

Another one of apples great and reliable computers has come along and it is definately not perfect, or anywhere near some of the best, but its a nice little computer, and im going to tell you abit about it, reccomend it, and let you decide on what you think of it and whether you want to buy it.
The 700 MHz is not a great speed by any means, but if you look at statistics and averages, most 2 GHz computers with windows will have a virus and act as ...

Advantages The perfect laptop Disadvantages Not one!
...I bought my iBook last Christmas and have never used my desktop pc since. So why do I love the way the iBook looks, feels and works. It's looks cannot be faltered its snow white colour makes it stand out from all the other laptops (namely Microsoft ones) to show that laptops don't have to be big, ugly, dull and heavy. When you open out the laptop, the inside gleams like a thousand gems. The screen is the perfect size. Not to big so it's hard to carry, but not to small so it's hard to see. Perfect from doing anything from writing on word to watching DVD's. When you turn the iBook, the sound of dreams plays through the crystal clear speakers- the sound of an apple computer turning on. The keyboard is positioned perfectly with they keys just the right size. When you get your iBook it comes with a wealth of software. Most notably apple works...

APPLE iBOOK G4 800mhz

Advantages attractive, quiet, simple, value for money Disadvantages general compatibility
...Compare the AppleiBook to its equivalent Windows-based competitor and you will notice the same things I did. The iBook offers better value for money - why? - because to buy a Windows laptop of its weight, processing power, size and style will cost you at least 1 and a half times more (compare it to an equivalently sized Sony Vaio for example). It is without doubt a brilliantly engineered unit. Extremely quiet, decent battery (4-5hrs with word-processing), well laid out and comfortable full size keyboard, good quality 12.1" screen, usb (x2), firewire, ethernet port, modem port, headphone socket, built in slot loading DVD/CD-RW drive. Everything has been thoughtfully created right from the Apple logo that lights up on the back when its turned on to the little legs that extend from the power pack so it can stand up and cool more...

Advantages Never Crashes Disadvantages Cant run microsoft software on it
...Theres alot you can say about the AppleiBook G4 14" but the one thing that is the most vibrant in my mind is "WHY DIDNT YOU BY THE POWER BOOK". Ok, it may be more expensive but its so much quicker and better looking. I am a student, one who needs power ,speed, reliability and most of course looks. Ok it may be vain but its true, everyone comes up to you and says its so cool. But what annoys me is the fact that people say that I brought it because its an Apple and is part of the AppleiPod revoloution. But I brought it because i'v been using a Mac for more than 15 years now, i'v had 2 PC's and they lasted me 2 and 3 years each due to breaking, but have also had 4 Macs due to needing more speed and all of them still work. I even got my iBook upgraded from OS 10.0 to OS Tiger. But this computer is truely great it works so well...

Advantages: very good for its specifications, Disadvantages: dont particularly like the design, its also failry heavy compared to other laptops
...The AppleiBook G4 - PPC G4 1.42 GHz - 14.1" TFT, is certainly one of apple's fattest laptops, but it by no means a bad laptop in terms of specification.
I do nto particularly like the design, it was a letdown for me because I always liked all of Apple's unique computer designs... this one just didnt cut it for me... :-(
On the bright side, it turned out to be quite fast and reliable for the specs it had, sure it wasnt as perfect as the one that fits in the envelope! But it was very good for its hardware... Why? Because apple macs are clean, and not full of rubbish that accumilates after time on windows computers constantly! This is why I like macs so much!...

Advantages: aren't prone to virus, works straight out of the box Disadvantages: expensive accessories
...From Windows PC to AppleiBook G3 Tiger to Apple Macbook Leopard. I'm still in love with Mac. Mac's OS is more dependable than Windows. There's this saying that "once you go Mac, you'll never go back!" and that's true for me. I never wanted to go back to using Windows.
What's great about Apple Macbooks are the fact that they work straight out of the box. No hassles. You can instantly browse the net, tinker with the features and just enjoy it. It's much more easier than computers/laptops using Windows. You can instantly get your laptop's information by clicking on the Apple logo, you get details, software update, system preferences, etc. Your desktop is more organized because of the dock, you can secure your laptop by adding password when you logout or after screensaver. If you're used to MS Office, you could still install one...

...Hi friends I bought Apple MacBook Recently for my personal use. I am a engineering student and I need laptop to study and for some entertainment. I am sharing my experience with you hope this will help you to make a good choice.
When I open the packing I noticed that its bit heavy than any other laptops. It's not too heavy but still. The screen is glossy and shining and it feels good when we look at such a bright screen. Apple MacBook consists of Intel chip so I think there is no performance issue. Keyboard is not that comfortable some keys are loose and sometimes it stops working. The quality of camera is very amazing. The stereo speakers are same as others and performance is satisfactory. The best thing about MacBook is Remote from which we can play music, view photos and add playlists. The battery life is also great. Its around...

Manufacturer's product description
The key design goal of Apple was to create a notebook computer tough enough to stand up to the occasional bumps and other unexpected mishaps of life on the go. From the standpoint of a laptop, the inside of a backpack can be a very inhospitable place. And yet you shouldn't have to walk softly just because you're carrying the most appealing notebook ever. So, the iBook's sleek case is made out of impact-resistant polycarbonate plastic. That would ordinarily be sufficient to survive the rigors of everyday use and abuse, but that's not all. Inside, a sturdy magnesium frame provides superior strength, while reducing the iBook's weight to well below that of other full-featured PC notebooks. There is even a rubber-mounted hard disk drive for added bump tolerance, so you can store all of your digital goodies on your iBook and still enjoy peace of mind. Additionally, the iBook has no I/O doors, protruding latches or levers to break or snap off when tucking it into a backpack or briefcase.
