Apple Mac mini Core Duo 1.66 GHz

Advantages: Small size, mostly durable to viruses, style
Disadvantages: Gaming, doesn't run many programs compared to a windows.

Had this computer for a while great if you already have a screen and do not want to shell out on a mac-mini. As well as being immune to the bulk of viruses that quickly affect windows computers. ...The Mac Mini is an excellent little piece of kit and I have owned one for about 5 months now. It has a great size and easily fits into the very small amount of space that I actually have on my desk. The design is very nice and has the usual look that all apple products seem to have nowadays. Even though it is a great machine it has not yet managed to replace my windows desktop. The Specification on this base model are not exactly those of a power PC but if you are only going to use it as an office machine then this should not be a problem. If you want a machine for gaming it is probably worth looking at something with a little higher specification. Saying that though the Mac mini doesn't handle games too badly, I have been playing age of empires 3 on it quite happily now for about 2 months and it seems to have no problem with it... Read review

...This is by far, the best pc i have ever owned, after using this, i have realised that apple computers are far superior to windows. this is very fast, very very very small, easy to use and i have absoloutely so complaints with it whatsoever. the only downside to this computer would infact apply to all computers that do not run windows - it cannot run most software as most software is developed for windows only. i would reccomend this pc to anyone, it is especially easy to use ! even people with no experience with computers would find it easy to use as mac OSX is far superior to any operating system i have ever used (i think i have used them all) . another brilliant upside to this computer applies to all apple computers, and that is that there are only 12 known viruses that can affect an apple computer, and about 12... Disadvantages No keyboard or Mouse, non-upgradeable, slow graphics chip.

...I upgraded/swapped over to a Mac Mini Intel Core Duo 1.66mhz for the simple reason that I didn't use my PowerMac G5 enough to justify the space it occupied. My gargantuan PowerPC beast was swiftly sold and in its place a lovely little Mac Mini INTEL machine, complete with it's own Infra-Red remote. I had to supply my own Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor (but then this is a 'feature' of the design - you buy it as a 2nd computer, to compliment your existing PC, or as an upgrade - thus keeping the components you use for the latter). I ordered mine with a 100gb Hard drive and 1gb of RAM, as it uses a portion of the built in RAM for video.
