All kinds of software is available for the Macs, including games, database, project management, Microsoft Office, utilities and Internet applications, etc. But there is still some software lacking for mac because most people are still using windows. After few years PC with windows don't work as well as they should and in windows are not that protected against viruses. BUT mac is fully protected and is more successfull than windows. ...A wonderful wonderful laptop. Was my first mac product after working with imacs at work for a while. Battery life= great! It will actually wait til the battery runs out before it switches off, but it lets you know. Software you get is great...and free! I particularly reccommend garageband which is used in many secondary schools music lessons, the possibilities are endless. Only downside really is that you get less for your money than pcs, however this really does run so quickly you will be pleased with the compromise on price. Search facility is uber fast and the mac's own 'iwork' software that is compatible with m.office is loads cheaper than m.office. A great buy!!! Also you must admit, it does look good. ...this one really rocks... and if you are a student that makes you eligible for nearly a £100discount... its really a different experience for the windows users... found handling this one a bit difficult when i bought it but after some days got used to it and now this one has my best openion... screen is clear... works really fast(2gig ram) the audio and video featres are good... the inbuilt cam is so so gud... the appple store normally provides a workshop after the purchase of your new mac where you can take a transformation from using windows to mac... the range of its wireless connectivity is really an added advantage.... more that all it loooks great.. mac books and specially mac book air is very fragile
