ED Digital's Digitrex High-Definition LCD TV is the world's first TV to integrate Microsoft PlaysforSure and Media Connect technologies. It marries the largest and fastest-growing markets in the consumer electronics industry - personal computers networking digital imaging and high-definition television. It allows consumers to view digital media content from their PC on the network TV. The Digitrex High-Definition Network TVs are full 1080i LCD Flat Panel TVs with resolution of 1366x768 and contrast ratios in excess of 800:1. Also incorporated into the TV is Microsoft Windows Media software as well as wired and 802.11 b/g wireless networking capabilities. The only additional hardware the consumer needs is a Windows-based PC with Microsoft Media Connect. The PC acts as a server and enables the user to watch video play music and/or view pictures on the Network TV through a user-friendly GUI interface.
