This APEX 27" color TV is our family television. My kids couldn't keep up with their payments on the big screen TV that we had, so this was a suitable substitute. We have had this television for about two years.
We also have a DVD player, surround sound home theater system and DVR hooked up to this TV. It came with yet another remote control and sorry to say, this remote is cheap but a necessary part of using the TV.
This TV is 27" and digital. It produces a bright, crisp picture. It's big enough for our small living room for everyone to have a clear view of it.
The sound can go up to 30 but we use it between 5 and 10 depending on what time of the day it is. As you can see, it has speakers in it. We use the home theater sound system while watching movies. The sound on this Apex is quality enough so no need for anything else while watching regular TV. I can't imagine ever having to turn it up to 30 either but I'm sure the whole neighborhood could hear it if we did.
It has A/V (Audio/Visual) jacks in the front along with volume, channel and menu controls in a drop down compartment. My son in law is an expert at hooking up all the electronic goodies we have, keeping wires, cables and cords hidden. This TV sits on a cabinet that holds all that we have attached to it.
We paid about $200.00 and considering all the televisions out there these days, this was a good value for the money. No worries when televisions switch from analog to digital either.
It measures approximately 29" x 24" x 18". It is a solid television with no weird things protruding from the back. It is heavy and too big for me to pick up by myself. My daughter and I can do it together though.
All in all, it's a good dependable television. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a television big enough for a small room or den. It makes a great family TV!
