...Well I have long been interested in computers and have built several for friends over recent years. So time came round for me to build my own and a friend recommended I give 'Silver Thermal Compound' a try. I had designed my computer to last a long time and was willing to shell out quite a lot on it so I thought I would give it a shot and bought some with the rest of the components... What is Thermal Paste? I am guessing that if you have found this product then you were probably looking for it and as such know what it is for, in which case feel free to skip onto the next section. Thermal paste is used to adhere the cooling system (usually a fan) to the microprocessor (the 'Intel inside' or AMD Processor). This is done to aid the cooling process by dispersing the heat.
