Alpine SPR 176A

Advantages These speakers will handle large amounts of power and are more than willing to do so for long periods of time. They have rather punchy bass so I find that they work very well along side a sub and they have great midrange sound.
Disadvantages Quite weighty so if you're planning on installing them into a standard parcel shelf be prepared to stregthen it, better still would be to replace the shelf with a wooden one.

...I reluctently purchased these 6x9's about 6 months ago after becoming sympathetic with passangers in the rear of my car only being able to hear the constant drowning of sub bass. Having not run any speakers in the rear for quite some time because I rather spend money on SQ upfront (the place your ears point to) and on sub bass, I was very dubious as to how this would affect the overall sound of the system. I already had the Alpine SPR176A components up front and was more than happy with them so I thought that I'd give their 6x9 cousins a try. When they arrived I was impressed by the build quality of the basket and cone, they come with the same silk dome tweater as the Alpine compnents so I pretty much knew what to expect.
