Advantages great songs Disadvantages Smooth criminal sucks
...Most people would have only recently heard of AlienAntFarm because of their cover of “Smooth Criminal” but there is a lot more to them than that novelty cover of a michael Jackson song, they are also very talented musicians who can write some really good songs. They are associated to Papa Roach because they are signed to their record label but musically they are a world apart. Whereas Papa Roach specialises in simple heavy music for pop kids, AlienAntFarm instead choose to write good songs that have great melodies as well as some crunching guitar riffs. The CD is very consistent and every song has its own appeal. It is also a good change for a “nu-metal” band to write about something other than hoe bad there life is and how they had bad childhoods, AlienAntFarm write about many things such as their love life and stories from...

Advantages Very individual Disadvantages Not much variation in the music all quite heavy.
Advantages original, memorable! Disadvantages not very well known band, therefore you could be a bit doubtful when buying it
...This debut album from an (at the time, fairly unknown band) is definately a memorable one. I don't quite remember how i first heard of AlienAntFarm, but i know after the first listen of this cd, it has been my favourite cd to listen to since!
AlienAntFarm; after first releasing their debut album in march 2001, quickly became known for their cover of Micheal Jackson's Smooth Criminal, however i believe that Anthology really shows how much better they can do than that song. The CD includes the likes of "Flesh and Bone", "Stranded", and "Death Day". The CD includes no other covers, which shows the band's originality, and with the cover they DID do, i think they ended up with a great product! Also, after a few times of listening, i found at the very end of the CD, an extra addition to the last track......... it was quite eerie late...
