First thing - this AllerAir 6000 Exec seems to be quite expensive. The price range is quite high. I feel that it's not worth its price. (We got ours for free, because my uncle got it as a gift for his company and second handed this to us.) The AllerAir 6000 Exec have a okay filter. This product is not woth your time. First of all I have had problems finding the filter that goes in this. You have a filter inside that looks like a filter for a fish tank cleaner. It falls out and gets dirty quite fast. I used to smoke and used this in the laundry room during the winter time and it did seem to collect something in the filter but the sent of smoke was still present in my laundry room and it di not filter that. The Holmes HAP726-U Air Filter is the Air Filter I have had longest in my life. I have owned the original model for more than 5 years. This air filter has always worked real well. I purchased the Holmes HAP240 Air Filter just after my son was diagnosed with Asthma. For his health, I feel it was one of the best purchases I ever made.
