...several brands decided to try LG after hearing good things about the brand itself. This unit is the best window ac unit we've ever purchased. It's quite - you barely even hear it running. It's very energy effecient - have hardly noticed it on the electric bill. The unit blows air nice and hard which has been a problem with many other brands. You know this is a really nice air conditioner to have. I walked inside a resturant and instead of central air, I seen this kind of air conditioner. I was so surprised since most business have central air. I had to take a look at it. It was running and it was not too loud at all. It had some features and functions but not too many at all. I bought this A/C last year at the end of summer. Actually I bought 2 of them because the price was inrcedicble. 199.00 for the 9000 btu and 150.00 for the 7000 btu markdown at Target!!! These units are wonderful. Although they do need to be vented, the venting system is hardly noticable in your window. Much better then having a big ugly window conditioner hanging off your house LOL. I have the 9000 in my livingroom and it cools the entire room, ... ...keeps all 3 bedrooms at a nice cool temp for sleeping on those hot summer nights. The 7000 is in my family room and on those really hot, sweltering days you can sit in there with a sweatshirt on and still be chilly. I'm a bargain hunter and always wait for the sales. We had purchased this air conditioner last year to cool our very big bedroom. It done a fantatic job cooling my bed room off. Compared to the rest of the house this was the coolest room to be in.
