Agfa ePhoto 1680 is a feature-rich and affordably priced digital camera, designed to give the customers a wide range of choices to match their digital imaging needs. The rotating lens (up to 280 degrees) permits maximum flexibility when taking hard-to-get photos, while the flash remains in line with the lens at all times, ensuring proper exposure. In addition, ePhoto 1680 includes a superior 2-inch high-resolution color LCD screen, providing crisp images for framing or playing back shots under any light conditions. Agfa's ePhoto 1680 allows photographers to achieve the best-in-class quality pictures using the company's breakthrough PhotoGenie technology. This camera offers image resolution of up to 1.9 million pixels (a true 1.3 million pixel image enhanced by Agfa's PhotoGenie technology), and a 2x digital zoom has the capability to zoom in on a captured image on the LCD screen before download. Through use of artificial intelligence techniques, Agfa's PhotoGenie removes image artifacts, such as those from JPEG compression, pixelation, jagged edges, and pasteurization, which are common in digitally captured images. Image features are then interpreted and reconstructed mimicking the human visual system, much in the same way the human eye recognizes features and sees them as they should be seen. PhotoGenie software allows pictures taken in either 1680 mode (1600 x 1200 pixels) or 1280 mode (1280 x 960 pixels) can be digitally zoomed up to six times their normal size. In addition, the software can be used to output prints of at least 8" x 10" (20cm x 25cm) on any photo-quality ink-jet printer. For smaller prints, Web publishing, proofs or "placement only" applications, users can choose from other modes: 307 (640 x 480 pixels) and "document", and a mode for capturing images in gray-scale. All camera settings on the ePhoto 1680 are accessed using the EasyPilot button. The EasyPilot is a powerful, multi-function control that works like a computer mouse. This feature lets users scroll through menus, while providing point-and-click selection control.
