Adcom GFP 715 Preamplifier

The newly designed GFP-715 is a wide bandwidth analog preamplifier with a full featured infrared remote control. Adcom's unique circuit design and use of high quality precision components, like high quality 1% metal film resistors, results in a sonic performance usually reserved for products two to three times its price. Its External Processor Loop allows for the GFP-715 to be easily integrated into a high-end home theater system. Featuring four "high level" audio inputs, the GFP-715 also has a high quality phono stage that accepts signals from moving magnet and high output moving coil phono cartridges allowing the listener to enjoy their favorite analog recordings. As with all Adcom preamplifiers, the GFP-715 includes high quality Class "A" analog amplifier stages, universally acknowledged as the best sounding amplifier design. Direct coupling capacitors, for the clearest, most open, and detailed sound. An over-sized, low output impedance power supply contributes to outstanding musical dynamics by delivering consistent operating voltages to all circuitry stages. The front panel is intuitively inviting yet allows full and accurate control of up to six sources. A precision motorized volume control provides accurate channel balance, low noise, and low distortion. An internal high current amplifier provides sufficient drive for headphones to allow for private listening. Dual infrared outputs and remote extension jacks allow for easy integration with other remote controlled units and infrared repeater systems. Separate main and bypass amplifier outputs offer you a significant choice. Using the main outputs allows the audio signal to feed through the tone controls, filters, and output coupling capacitors, while the bypass output maintains ultimate signal integrity by omitting all but the absolutely essential circuitry.
