Advantages Great performance for price, on-paper specification Disadvantages As mentioned above - heat, 754 socket, and speakers
..., is rather dated too. For the average user, this is not a problem. Finally, there are few PCI slots for upgrading, but this is counter arguemented by the small size (Micro ATX)The memory, on the other hand, is simple to upgrade and in great supply.
Storage: The Western Digital Hard drive is a great piece of equiptment, and cannot be beat. It is very fast, and the storage size is more than large enough when starting up. The DVD drive is decent too, and I have had no issues with it whatsoever.
Graphics: The 5500fx is one of nvidias most odd cards. It is powerful enough for the average user, but has some issues meaning it is not as powerful as originally designed. For the money though, it can play games based on the doom engine with ease, and is fantastic for pre-spring2006 games.
In conclusion, The AcerAspireT130 is a brilliant starter PC...

Advantages Quick, functional, high quality Disadvantages Noise from Fans
...I recently purchased the T130 as an upgrade to my original PC. The idea was to buy something that was small enough to fit in to my office without compromising on functionality and the potential to upgrade and add cards.
On first impressions I am more than happy with the unit. The original prices was around £550 pounds. That was the easy choice. Many of todays suppliers don't give you much for that kind of money.
That gave me and AMD 643200, 512MB of RAM and 120GB hard drive, along with XP Pro. Also in there is the standard ethernet ports, firewire etc along with 128MB graphics.
The PC starts up in a matter of moments and has never not started. If you have to play with BIOS, which most of us don't then it is as good as easy to edit as you can get with any bios.
If you open the cover on the unit everything is laid out well inside...
