Advantages: Good bit Disadvantages: finicky about angles
...Alright, so we all know having wireless access is great. It helps cut back on the clutter of wires, and actually raises the value of your computer. However, with the D-Link Xtreme N PCI Express Desktop Adapter, It's gonna be a bit tricky to actually get the connection. This wireless card is super finicky about angles, which is sometimes hard to determine, considering where the connection is coming from. But once you find the angle you need, it gives a great connection, usually pretty fast. This card is actually pretty easy; Remove the side panel of your computer, along with the slot cover. Make sure your computer is turned off and unplugged! I cannot stress this enough! Also make sure to discharge all static on you and the card by touching something metal before installing. Then you plug it in, with the antennae out of the computer. It...

Advantages: small, USB connectivity, solid product Disadvantages: None
...sturdy too. This usb adapter by the way comes with an 2-feet extension dock which comes handy if you don't want to plug it at the rear of your PC (where signal is probably weaker).
Since been using it I cannot recall any instance that it had randomly dropped connection. If it had, usually it was the router freezing. Driver installation and software is excellent, bug free and works as expected. For your Wifi adapter needs, you'd not go wrong with this wonder device.

Advantages Very easy to set up, inexpensive Disadvantages Can lose signal sometimes
...In my house we have two computers and a broadband internet connection, but we couldn't use both PCs on the net at once.
To sort this out, I decided to set up a wireless network but was a bit worried it would be too complicated. Thankfully this networkadapter proved to be very easy to use.
I bought two, one for each PC. The card comes with a CD, with all the software needed on it. You have to install the software BEFORE you put in the card. Installing the software was very simple, there were no problems or errors.
The PCs I was installing the cards on use Windows 98SE, and the software worked fine on it, so 2000, NT and XP users shouldn't have any difficulties.
The software features a utility which sits in your system tray and allows you to easily change different settings, including encryption, and shows you signal strength and other...

Advantages Qulaity, Speed, Network Adapter Disadvantages Size of paper tray
...This is a superb colour laser printer for the money. I use this for business on a daily basis. Although mainly used for B&W printing its very fast. When used in Colour the image quality is fantastic. This printer comes with various means of communication ie parallel, USB and a built in networkadapter. I have it linked directly to the router and therefore it can be used as a network printer easily. The menus are very versitile and offer you a great array of features to help control your business costs. Ie turning off the colour function to certain users. My only disappointment is that it doesnt come with a larger tray. An additional tray can be purchased as an optional extra at additional cost. The printer is very frugal with the ink, it seems to keep printing and printing without the levels going down rapidly. The cartridges...

Advantages Wide range of specificatons, Eaily Upgradable, Good battery life Disadvantages Produces a LOT of heat, dated design
...it on your lap you will find the heat unbearable. The main part of this machine that shows it\'s age is the square, straight lined design and the lack of a WIFI adapter to link to modern wireless networks. If you need to use this machine on a wireless network you will have to use either one of the PCMCIA slots or a USB adapter, both of which are widely available throughout the market....
