Great Laptop. Great Price.
Review of Asus Eee PC 4G by
jcmagnus
Advantages: Portable, easy to use, light-weight
Disadvantages: Battery life, storage capacity
...As a college student, I needed something portable, light-weight and easy to use, and the EEE is all of that and more.
As a secondary laptop, it does all that it needs to do: Browse the internet, chat, write reports, presentations, you name it. It comes with pre-installed programs so you get everything going fast. This model also comes with a built-in webcam which works great.
On the hardware side, this laptop is built for the casual user in mind, so the 512MB RAM is just enough for it. The 4GB flash drive space actually turns into 1.25gb more-or-less after all the updating, so make sure you purchase a USB Drive or SD Card for extra storage. The battery life also only around 1.5 to 2 hours long (max) which is a bummer.
Overall, I highly recommend this laptop for any college student, casual user, or just someone that needs an ultra...

Sweet Little Thing
Review of Asus Eee PC 4G by
jofeli
Advantages: ultraportable, easy-to use application, built-in card reader
Disadvantages: scrolling issue, 4GB internal memory
...Recently more people are seeking for something smaller of everything, including finding a notebook. Perhaps it's because they expect to have laptop technology with low cost. Concerned with this issue, Asus released their product ASUS EEE PC, a mini notebook series.
It was launched first time in Indonesia on January 2008 and in Singapore December 2007. It becomes the most waited product this year for consumers in Asia because of its uncommon size. Their first model to be introduced here is their 701/4G model. I couldn't manage to purchase it on the grand launching since it was all sold out. I had to order it and a month later the item showed up at my door. I was wondering what had made it a top selling product. And here's the answer.
A PEEK INSIDE THE PACKAGE
* The notebook
* Quick user guide
* User manual
* Battery
* Adapter...

Asus Eee PC 2G Surf now with new colors
Review of Asus Eee PC 2G Surf by
m0she
Advantages: very portable, easy to carry
Disadvantages: using only SSD not a hard drive
...This is actually great for us students, we can now buy non expensive wi-fi capable note book pc, 7" bright with good contrast display, pretty portable isnt it? with built in Linux OS and 2000MB Flash Drive, now with 3 more colors to choose from; pink, blue and green, Apple like clean design with no removable access panels. Memory in the Eee PC 2G, both RAM and the Solid State Disk (SSD), are not user upgradable. Unlike the 8G and early models of the 4G Eee PC, the memory is soldered into place.
Cons: using only flash drive,
you can upgrade to XP though you need a separate supplied XP driver set and buy a license.
limited battery life to 3.4 hrs compared to others.

Advantages everything
Disadvantages none
...i was looking for a laptop for about a year. i needed something cheep, portable and easy to use. i had been looking at the macbook, the only problem was the price. i was looking in currys one day when i saw this little laptop looking at me, and i fell in love with it.
the asus 701 eee (easy to learn, excellent internet an excellent on the go) pc is ideal for most pc users. it is able to handle all major sites, though you may need to side sroll to view the whole page.
when you get it out of the box and turn it on, it pops up ready for you to use in a matter of seconds, you are able to connect tothe internet and start browsing straight away.
it is perfect for anyone doing most things on the computer. the modification possibilities are endless, the space in the case, the compactness, it is crying out for more.
this was written on my eee...

Advantages battery life, easy to use, quick to start, alright quality webcam
Disadvantages small hardrive
...What a amazing thing. Got home from buying it put the battery in and the charger and was away. I was amazed at how light the laptop/UMPC was. The keyboard may look small but after typing on it for a while i am now fine with it infact it feels weird to type on a normal sized keyboard now. The startup speed amazed me how within 10 seconds it will be up and running great for the times when i needed to check something quick. The storage of the wifi routers names is a great idea just click and select and your connected to the internet. The screen may look small but is infact adequate enough for my needs (internet, word, and the occasional game) cant fault the operating system on it although people new to linux may want to have a look at the asus eee wiki (http://wiki.eeeuser.com/) which will help you install new programs etc. Battery...

Advantages small lighweight
Disadvantages linux os
...The Asus e PC is the perfect choice for students who want to use their computer at home, at school, at work or on the move. Smaller than a A5 pad and weighs less than 1kg! This is one the best laptops you can get designed for internet browsing on the move! I removed the original Linux operating system and installed Windows XP SP2. very usefull. handy for browsing the internet by just touching the screen! I had owned it for 2 months only. however it just want for me however my little sister loved it. finally e PC has upgraded to a 2GB DDR 2 memory so its really fast i think someone may be trying to compete with the acer one. for me the PC was just to flimsy e PC need to make to come with os xp as standard rather than Linux because most kids that have grown up around Microsoft don't want to have to get used to another os and as most...
