I've owned this air purifier for 3 months. I'm a heavy smoker and I keep it in the room where my computer is. It's amazing, after running this product for 3 days the smell of smoke and cigarettes diminished by 75%. I don't run it continually, but I'm sure if I did the smell would be completely gone! The unit is very quiet. It has 3 speeds with a dial at the top that has green lights circulating to let you know its on and what speed it's set at. When the green lights in the center change color it's alerting you the filter needs to be cleaned and when it turns red the filter needs to be replaced. When reading other reviews before purchasing this unit, I learned that the filter can be vacumed for longer lasting life rather then going out and buying a new one right away. In 3 months time, my filter is still going strong which is exceptional with the amount of smoke it has to purify. The price is high, but worth it. I'll let you in on a secret....I purchased my purifier at Big Lots for 49.00!! It is new, not reconditioned. If you have a Big Lots near you, grab one at this price. You won't find it for under 100.00 on the net anywhere!
